Senior Project Engineer | Chicago

The Senior Project Engineer position is a senior technical role responsible for directing projects through all phases of design and construction administration. The SPE leads project teams in the production of drawings, calculations, and specifications; manages coordination with other design disciplines; and serves as the primary point of contact for client communication. The SPE works closely with Senior Associates and Associates on project oversight, technical decision-making, and maintaining the client relationships that drive the firm's growth.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.

  • MS in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.

  • PE required, SE preferred.

  • Individuals should have a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in structural analysis and design, as well as experience in preparing plans and detail drawings.

  • 2+ years of management experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in seismic design and lateral systems (braced frames, moment frames, shear walls).

  • Experience with ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc, Revit and MS Office.

  • Strong client communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation

  • Salary range for this position is $120k-$160k. The pay rate is based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education and skills.
