Design Build

Design-build is a project delivery method that brings designers and contractors together as a unified team from the very beginning of a project. Unlike traditional approaches where the design is completed first and then handed off to a contractor for bidding, design-build integrates both parties early on, which enables open communication and coordination throughout the entire design and construction process.

The result of this integrated approach is a more efficient project that delivers significant value to owners. Design-build projects typically experience shorter overall schedules, better cost control, and fewer surprises during construction because potential issues are identified and resolved early. By working as a unified team rather than separate entities, we can accelerate time to market while maintaining quality and ensuring the structural design is fully coordinated with the construction plan.

Working with contractors from the beginning of the design process allows us to identify opportunities to streamline construction sequences, select materials and systems that are readily available and cost-effective, and develop structural solutions that are easier to build in the field. This collaboration allows us to collectively manage project risks and make informed decisions that balance design intent with constructability.
