KURT AT PLAY

As an outdoor enthusiast, Kurt enjoys California's sunshine with the challenge of a good Ironman Competition, a cold swim in the Bay, biking summits with breathtaking vistas, and running where the road may take him. Kurt has completed 17 full-distance Ironman Triathlons, 11 half Ironman Triathlons, and numerous Olympic-distance triathlons. In 2019, he became eligible for the “Ironman Legacy,” which afforded him the opportunity to compete in the 2024 World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, which he participated in, although did not complete. His response was: “just an opportunity to try again in a different age group, lol.”

During the Winter months, Kurt enjoys taking on the challenge of driving to as many snow topped mountains as possible and exploring the verticals via snowboarding or skiing.

He finds family time very important and travel with his wife and four children has found them in interesting parts of the world, being educated on a variety of cultures. As a wine aficionado, Kurt also enjoys a good vintage along with the process of making his personal batch and hoping it's a good year!
