Over a decade ago Kurt Lindorfer, S.E. founded Paradigm on the guiding principle that intelligent design saves lives, property and money. This ideal still permeates every aspect of our firm today. Our approach to client service goes well beyond figures and reports-- Associates Jon Yokoyama, S.E. and Jeff Williams, S.E. will take the time to fully understand our clients’ goals and always maintain an exceptional level of accessibility to the project team.

Paradigm helps our architectural partners enhance the seismic performance of their structures for relatively low costs, while maintaining aesthetic and usability requirements.

Builder/Contractors

During the construction process, excellent communication and quick turn-around times are our priority. We take time with the contractor to explain our engineering approach, and are willing to explore different structural systems to ensure workable solutions are implemented.

Sustainable Design

Sustainable design is increasingly a priority for architects, builders, and end users. PSE has assisted many of our clients achieve LEED Certification and/or sustainable design goals for their respective projects by implementing value engineering concepts such as incorporating alternative solar energy infrastructure, specifying “green” building materials, and designing structural systems which reduce overall materials expenditure and waste.

Over half of our staff is LEED Accredited, which PSE actively promotes and encourages as part of our corporate commitment to the stewardship of resources and the environment.
